Keto bonsai soil is a mix of clay and peat that is used to create a holding space for bonsai soil where it would otherwise wash away. Applications for keto include rock plantings, slabs and slate plantings.
Keto can be shaped by hand and smoothed using a spatula and water to stop the keto sticking to the spatula. It can then be covered in moss to hide the keto and make for a more aesthetic design.
Supplied in a 1 litre bag and weighing approximately 800g, the bag should be resealed after use to prevent the keto from drying out.
Our soils are now provided in biodegradable bags with a recycled paper label. Beechfield Bonsai aims to minimise our environmental impact throughout all areas of our business.
