Bug Clear Ultra Vine Weevil Killer is a chemical resort to kill of vine weevil infestations. Vine Weevil can decimate bonsai quickly by eating the root system, leaving them undetectable until its too late.
It kills Vine Weevil on contact and also systemically, taken up by the tree and acts to kill pests including vine weevils, aphids, scale insects, mealy bugs and adelgids as they feed on your tree. This effect lasts for up to two months giving longer lasting protection.
Active ingredients: Acetamiprid
Do please be aware that chemical pesticides can also kill beneficial pests, we advise their use only after trying more environmentally friendly approaches. For Vine Weevil you are advised to try Vine Weevil Nematodes as a preferred non chemical approach first.
Available as a 480ml concentrate bottle, it will treat up to 20 x 20cm (8″) pots.
Usage
Treat in mid-June and repeat in mid-August to give protection against actively feeding larvae.
Mix the product in accordance with instructions, a maximum of 60ml per litre of water.
The maximum amount of treatments per year for bonsai would be two, check the back of bottle if unsure. Always read the label before using.
