This infra-red digital thermometer is useful in many ways but specifically to bonsai, it allows you to measure the temperature of the bonsai pot and soil.
A bonsai tree will become more active in terms of growing new roots and taking up of fertiliser, when the temperature within the pot is stable above 16C. Measuring and monitoring the soil temperature can tell you when best to repot and to start feeding.
This thermometer features a laser-IR pointer for accurate target aiming and can switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit. It requires 2x AAA batteries (supplied) and has a low battery indication showing when to change them.
Caution
Do not look directly at the laser or point the digital thermometer at people, the laser can damage eyes.
