Ebay user babygee2005  purchased 4 items from us and initially requested a refund for an item. For some reason this request deteriorated very quickly with abuse from the eBay buyer.

The buyer was reported to ebay for being abusive. The message transcript shows a weird sense of being able to abuse someone else, but make out the buyer was the one being abused. Have fun reading through this one.

The message here is that if you want a refund, then you have to return the item first. A refund was issued on the same day that we eventually received the item, which was over a week later.

Hi I received my order from you yesterday, all is fine except for the scissors that I would like to return to you please as they look and feel like they have already been used

Hello

I would firstly like to say that we do not stock or sell any second hand or used tools. These scissors may have some oil on them to prevent rusting during storage but they shouldn’t feel or look used.

Please return them to us at the address below and we will certainly look into that. Would you be wanting a refund or replacement on them?

I would definitely be looking for an exchange for another item please and not a refund as you sell a lot of items that I need. I will also be purchasing further items from you as well

I want to return that item, but you have not told me how to do that – as you have ignored me for so long I would a full refund and not a replacement, or do i just report you to ebay and get the refund from them as you have been very rude

Hi, I gave you the return address and advised that we would process that for you. I don’t see how we have ignored you or been rude. Have you posted the item back as yet?

I have done all I can at this stage to assist you.

Yes your right you did give me the return address for a straight refund or return but I replied to you saying that I wanted to exchange them for something else, it would have been of a higher value so I would have needed to pay the extra, you did not tell me how to go about that instead you just ignored me, that was extremely rude and disrespectful of you, and so now I will return them for a straight refund, I don’t like to deal with disrepectful ebay sellers

BeechfieldBonsai wrote on 17/01/2018:

eBay does not work like that unfortunately, it doesn’t allow additional payments to cover other items. You need to return them and we will provide the refund, that’s not a problem.

We pride ourselves on service and it’s unfortunately buyers like you that ruin eBay. You haven’t even posted them back yet and complaining.

Please post them back, you will get the refund as promised. I cannot do anymore than that. Under the eBay guidelines, I would get penalised for selling outside of eBay under the proposal you put forward.

I beg your pardon, how rude, I have brought a lot of items from ebay for almost 15 years now, how dare you say I ruin things!! I haven’t posted the item back yet because you didn’t tell me about the return rules, and I was waiting for a response from you, I made that clear so don’t make me out to be some stupid idiot!! – I will post it back on Monday, and then I want a full refund

babygee2005 wrote on 17/01/2018:

And for your information I can report you to ebay for being rude – that I do know so don’t make me out to be dumb

BeechfieldBonsai wrote on 17/01/2018:

If you feel the freedom to accuse me of being rude and disrespectful then I have the right to defend myself. I do not feel that I have been rude at all and maintained politeness in all of my responses.

I would urge to to read our feedback and see that we are very fair with customers and to question your own actions and tone in this exchange.

I can also report buyers for wanting to deal outside of eBay as per you emails. I asked you to send the item back for a refund and I stick by that. You haven’t sent them back despite me asking you to, so please report me.

However, you started the downward spiral here and I will defend my actions.

Send them back, you will get a refund and then buy from a seller who you believe is fairer than us.

BeechfieldBonsai wrote on 17/01/2018:

I have already reported you to eBay, please send the item back for refund as advised. I will not respond to any further messages on or off eBay.
