Portulacaria Afra is also know as the elephant bush on the basis that in its native habitat it is a favoured food of elephants. This variegated leaf variety and is an excellent plant for indoors. Place in a bright, warm place but out of direct sunlight. Water between April and October, allowing the soil to dry out between and water sparingly during the winter months. An easy to grow, popular choice for indoor bonsai.
