Kyodama is a grit like soil component which maintains an open structure and drainage of your bonsai soil. Being a grit, it does not break down therefore helping to maintain soil structure. It can also be sieved out and reused during repotting.
Kyodama is suitable for use with Akadama as a soil mix.
Imported from Japan, with a grain size of 5mm to 8mm, it is supplied in 1 litre bags, weighing approximately 850 grams.
Our soils are now provided in biodegradable bags with a recycled paper label. Beechfield Bonsai aims to minimise our environmental impact throughout all areas of our business.
