This intermediate level course is split into two parts; Pests & Diseases and Defoliation Demystified.
You will be taught by Nacho Salar, owner of BonsaiNara nursery in Malaga, Spain, providing you with the knowledge required to confidently look after and develop your trees.
Taking place at the Beechfield Bonsai nursery, this course will start at 10:00 and end at 16:00 giving you a full day of bonsai learning. We will provide drinks, refreshments and a light lunch consisting of sandwiches but you are welcome to bring your own food if you prefer.
The course will be limited to six (6) attendees to enable you to get the most from the time spent with the instructor.
Part 1: Pests and Diseases
The issues faced by pests and diseases on your bonsai trees, what to look out for and how to treat them. The section will take place in the morning and offer a good grounding on the biggest threats to the health and vitality of our trees.
Part 2: Defoliation Demystified
The afternoon session will cover deciduous development and defoliation. This skill when mastered allows you to build ramification on your trees in a shorter timeframe, but performing it can be a nervous time.
You are welcome to bring along your own bonsai tree for this session, however we can provide trees to be used if you do not.
